Memorial Eye Center - Eldridge

I was a walk-in without an appointment. The friendly young lady at the desk told me to have a seat and would check on what time they could get me in. She said by 2pm but the got me in earlier and my issue was resolved by 2pm. Dr. Tavares is the best. Everyone in that office is very friendly.

Dr Porier detected an anomaly inside my eyeballs at an early stage. For this, I will forever be her cheerleader. Staff: If you're one of those people who're clueless about frames fitting your face, this is your place! Everyone truly goes above and beyond to fit you with the perfect glasses.

Of the 4 Memorial Eye Centers our family has received services, Memorial Eye Center is undoubtedly the place we return to every year, or as appointments are needed. The doctors are well- capacitated and are thorough in their diagnoses and explanations to patients. The staff has an honest interest to serve the clients and are polite and considerate. It is the best in West Houston!

Dr Kim-Van Chau is thorough and detail oriented with excellent communication. I feel comfortable the whole time during the examination. No dilation probably due to imaging of front and back of the eyes (perhaps new technology?). Perhaps I can drive home by myself next time! Staff is wonderful and helpful. Everything gets explained in plain English in details. Extra charges are transparent and will not be imposed without your signature. The center is clean and organized. You can also get your glasses done here.

Good experience. Went in for a yearly eye checkup. Professional and efficient service. Short wait. Close to my house. Nothing not to like 😊. Lots of high tech, modern diagnostics. I recommend.

I want to thank the entire staff at the Eldridge/Memorial location. The atmosphere and professionalism made another Annual appointment worthy of my time. From the start of the exam with the Assistance, the Dr. and then with Glasses personal/expert knowledge is another important aspect of returning to this location. Appreciating their time to explain every eye exam picture, concerns if any and professional advice on future issues. I enjoyed trying on a new glasses frame, especially with the positive feedback on which glasses looked best. I appreciate ALL of the people that saw me for this last appointment on June 12, 2025.

I just had an eye exam with Antonio, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! He made me feel so comfortable and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which really put me at ease. His directions were clear and easy to follow, and his customer service is top-notch. I honestly wish I had come here sooner the whole staff is amazing. I highly recommend Antonio for anyone looking for a great, professional, and friendly experience! Staff is very nice and professional. I had my exam and selected a nice frame. I felt welcomed as I enjoyed my glasses and didn't have to wait or take long for them to see me.

My mother-in-law doesn’t wear glasses nor have an optometrist. She scratched her eye and they immediately agreed to see her. She got exactly the help she needed as opposed to waiting in an ER to likely still not see the right specialist. Thank you! She definitely will be a return customer for regular care and we really appreciate the help.

Dr. Tavares is great...very nice and listens to you. The staff is also very nice and helpful. It has gotten hard to find this level of customer service and I really appreciate them!
